Pitching a new wave for Frontier, app based streaming (2017)

Moving towards an app based experience – redesigning video streaming for Frontier Telecommunications.

I focused on creating a vision across all platforms: mobile, tablet and living room (set top box) experiences, to unify and create a more modern customer experience.

Challenge:

Video at Frontier means 3 different products with different branding and platforms:

  • Vantage: Mediaroom TV platforms acquired from AT&T Uverse present in Frontier's northern regions.

  • FiOS: VerizonFiOS acquired TV platform for California, Texas, Florida

  • FrontierTV: TVEverywhere app acquired from VerizonFiOS and the FrontierTV website developed internally

There's a need for consistency, branding and modernization between all three platforms. The goal was to create a new app based solution to replace the dated technology. I identified gaps, opportunities, and themes around Frontier's current platforms with overall navigationease of useself-provisioning and overall brand consistencies.
