Amazon Closet

With Closet, customers can create a digital version of their physical closet on Amazon. Helping them unlock what they already own.

  • It’ll give customers new personalized ideas to style their own items

  • A way to discover new complementary styles

  • A way to shop smarter across the Amazon shopping journey

Role: Lead UX Designer

With Closet, the focus was making the shopping experienced more personalized for customers. I focused on designing an experience that gave customers better outfit recommendations by connecting customer’s profile, auto-importing the fashion items they purchased on Amazon, and allowing them to continue to add other items in their closet purchased elsewhere.

For the first time user experience, customers will receive onboarding screens, giving them more info on the benefits

I think that's pretty cool. It's making you think a little bit of Clueless where Cher has her little computer app so she can go through her closet and mix and match her clothes.

Once onboarded customers will see a page of recommendations based on their Closet items. They’ll have the ability to add more items at any point with the Add floating action button.

In the recommendations page customers can navigate to the Closet Items page that will let them manage and view more details of the items they have added and own.

In the Your Item Details page, more specific recommendations are available based on the Closet item.

At any point in the Closet experience customers can add more items to their Closet. With a large Amazon catalog, customers can search familiar brands and specific items that they bought elsewhere.

Another easy way is to find visually similar items through image search with photos of their outfits
